Overview

Our 4-Day Rwanda Tour with Golden Monkey Trek and Bisoke Hike Trip will go to Volcanoes National Park, home to the Bisoke hike and have a thrilling hiking adventure to the crater lake. Have a city tour in Kigali. You will visit the golden monkeys and cultural visits in the village on these 4 days in Rwanda. You will be using your own private safari 4x4 touristic jeep.

Day 1 Arrival at the Kigali International Airport

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met with a warm welcome by our company representative, get cleared by customs, exchange some money in local currency, and drive to the hotel for a good rest. Your driver will brief you all about the safari and the program in detail.

Day 2 Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park (Musanze) – Twin Lakes

You will wake up to your breakfast at the hotel, check out and embark on a city tour. You will visit the Kigali Gisozi genocide memorial, visit local markets, have lunch in a city restaurant of your choice, and then transfer to Musanze the home of mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, hikes and so on. On your way, you will be having time to discover, and view Rwandan Landscapes plus plains. You will arrive, check in with lunch, relax and enjoy the property amenities, evening at leisure. In the evening you will have an optional visit to the twin lakes. The community visitation to the Twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo. The Twin Lakes area is very scenic, with steep and intensively farmed hills surrounding the pristine dark blue waters. They offer magnificent views over the whole of the Virunga Volcanoes (if the weather permits). Walking and birdwatching are possible in the hills and at some points around the lakes. You will return to your lodge, dinner and rest.

Day 3 Volcanoes National Park - Bisoke Hike Experience and Cultural Experience

On this day in the morning after breakfast, you will go to Rwanda Development Board Headquarters for a briefing with a cup of coffee or tea. You will join a group of tourists heading to the hike on the top of the Volcano where there is a beautiful crater lake. It takes 4 hours to ascend and 2 hours to descend. You will return to your hotel/lodge for lunch and later go for an afternoon cultural experience at the Gorilla Guardians' former Iby’iwacu culture village centre, get entertaining history, music and stories of Rwanda and their ways of life. Feel free to dance along with the village people, it is fun. You will retire and drive back to the hotel/lodge and then have dinner and rest.

Day 4 Golden Monkey Trek with a Transfer Back to Kigali - Departure

After breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters to meet your guides for the golden monkey's trekking activity. You will get the briefing and get started, once you meet the monkeys, and enjoy their activities for a full hour. After completing your experiences, you will check out. You will then be transferred back to Kigali with en route lunch in Kigali, and last-minute souvenir shopping, you will drive to the Kigali International Airport.
