The day before, your guide will pick you up at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and drive you to your hotel. In the morning after breakfast, meet your guide at the front door and then proceed on a scenic drive towards Amboseli National Park. Here you will be welcomed by the sight of a towering snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. You will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. You will spot a variety of animals like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos and elephants that are found in impressively large numbers at Amboseli National Park.
On the second day in Amboseli, you will be going on a full-day game drive. Arise early for a morning game drive. These are very rewarding as you get to encounter a variety of predators like big cats retiring after a night of hunting. You will then drive back to your lodge for mid-morning breakfast and relax as you enjoy the view of the lodge. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Check out of your Amboseli lodge and proceed on a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru, fondly known as the pink lake, is home to big flocks of both greater and lesser flamingos, which give the lake a magnificent pink carpet. The birdlife here is enormous, with 400 species of birds including white pelicans, plovers, egrets and Marabou storks.
