Your Gorilla Pathfinders guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers great opportunities to observe these magnificent animals congregating by the river. Additionally, you may encounter giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, with various predators such as lions and leopards often in the vicinity.

Tarangire is also home to the highest diversity of bird species anywhere on the planet. You will find ancient baobab trees throughout the park, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park.

After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation located in a Wildlife Management Area (WMA).

Start your second day in Tarangire National Park with an exciting walking safari, where you’ll explore the park’s diverse landscapes up close. Accompanied by an armed park ranger, you’ll learn about animal tracks, local plants, and the unique ecosystem. After the walk, enjoy a thrilling game drive through the park, spotting herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, and more. On this exciting day, you’ll depart from Karatu in the morning and head toward the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the crater, a unique and vibrant ecosystem often referred to as the "Garden of Eden". As you drive through the lush grasslands and acacia forests, keep an eye out for herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle grazing peacefully. The crater is also home to the Big Five - lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. With a bit of luck, you might spot the elusive black rhino, which thrives in this protected environment. In addition to large mammals, over 500 bird species call the crater home, including flamingos in the alkaline lakes and ostriches roaming the savannah.

As you journey through the vast plains, you’ll be captivated by the changing landscapes, from wide-open savannahs to the lush riverine forests that line the Mara River.

Northern Serengeti is renowned for its role in the great wildebeest migration, especially between August and October. This is when millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the region in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the timing of your visit, you might witness one of nature’s most spectacular events. At these dramatic river crossings, the herds brave the crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River. In addition to the migration, the area is home to a wealth of predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, all vying for their next meal.

After a thrilling game drive, you’ll arrive at your accommodation in Northern Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.

On this full day in Northern Serengeti, enjoy game drives through the stunning landscapes that are alive with wildlife. Known for the great wildebeest migration, you may witness massive herds crossing the Mara River (from August to October). Alongside the migration, expect to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as giraffes, elephants, and diverse birdlife. The afternoon offers a break, followed by another exciting game drive to see more animals and experience being in a natural environment.

After a thrilling day, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

On your second full day in Northern Serengeti, venture out early for another exhilarating game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystems offer unique opportunities to observe wildlife, from the migratory herds of wildebeest to the region's resident predators.

This day marks the conclusion of your thrilling wildlife safari, but the adventure is far from over!

Fly from Northern Serengeti to Zanzibar, where your adventure continues on the island paradise. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation in Stone Town, the historical heart of Zanzibar. Explore its labyrinth of narrow streets, rich with Swahili culture, ancient architecture, and vibrant markets.

Located in the northern part of the island, Nungwi is a lively village surrounded by some of Zanzibar's most beautiful beaches. At the time of your choice, you will transfer to this location, approximately 50km from Stone Town. Once a sleepy fishing village, it is now a popular island destination full of life. It is also one of the only places from where you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the ocean. You can take some rest and enjoy this paradise made of beautiful beaches of white sand and turquoise water of the Indian Ocean.

You can spend the last hours of your journey relaxing. At an appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight.
