After a safe landing at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly driver-guide who will take you to and from the gorilla trek. Volcanoes National Park is home to the world's largest population of mountain gorillas.
You start with a city tour, and if time allows, also visit the Genocide Memorial. We will have breaks for lunch and refreshments. You'll arrive at the park just before dusk to enjoy a delectable dinner, and then retire for the night. The golden monkey trekking begins quite early in the morning, so you should keep to your schedule and be well-rested.
Start the day with a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge, and then drive to the park headquarters with all of your luggage and trekking gear for a pre-trek briefing. The knowledgeable ranger-guides will go over the do's and don'ts of trekking and then accompany you. The experience will last anywhere from 1 to 7 hours, depending on how far the golden monkeys are foraging.
You can expect to see the golden monkey habitats, rare plant species like the giant lobelia, birds, and more. After a successful visit, you transfer to Bwindi National Park in Uganda, crossing the Cyanika border. You will arrive in the evening and enjoy dinner.
Your gorilla-trekking experience will begin in the morning with a hearty breakfast. Drive to the park headquarters where you will meet the park ranger-guide who will first take you through a briefing about the do's and don'ts while tracking. He will then lead you to the forest to trek for these endangered mountain gorillas.
The mountain gorilla trekking lasts from an hour to 8 hours, depending on where the gorilla family moved to while looking for food. Enjoy the bird calls and spot other primates as you search for the endangered mountain gorillas. After a successful trek, embark on your journey to Kigali to arrive in time for your flight. Every now and then a destination becomes so famous that people start questioning whether it can possibly live up to its own reputation. Serengeti National Park is one of those places. You have seen the photographs, watched the documentaries, read the articles, and somewhere in the back of your mind a small but persistent voice is asking whether the reality can genuinely match the legend. Whether all those wildebeest, all those lion prides, all that extraordinary golden savannah stretching to the horizon is truly as breathtaking in person as it looks on a screen. The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that the Serengeti does not just live up to its reputation it quietly exceeds it in ways that no photograph or documentary has ever managed to fully capture, and here is exactly why.
