Assuming you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, you will depart Entebbe/Kampala for your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in Southwestern Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to half (53%) the number of mountain gorillas in the whole world. It is also the only place where chimpanzees co-exist with Mountain Gorillas. You will have an en-route stopover at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe to take photographs and observe a simple experiment before continuing to Mbarara town for Lunch. After lunch, you will embark on your scenic-filled drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for an overnight at Kisoro Traveller’s Inn or Lake Chahafi Resort

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch, you will report to the Park Headquarters at about 7:45 am for registration and then you will join other trackers for a briefing about the Dos and Don’ts during your Gorilla Tracking safari. Your guides will lead you through the thick creepers and undergrowth as you trek to find the Gorillas. This trek can take you half an hour to three quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The amount of time you take during the trek largely depends on the movement of the gorillas. But it is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures. Also as you trek, you are likely to spot other primates, birds, and rare tree species. After finding the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back to the Park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and in recognition of your contribution to the conservation of mountain gorillas.

Is the Serengeti Worth Visiting

Every now and then a destination becomes so famous that people start questioning whether it can possibly live up to its own reputation. Serengeti National Park is one of those places. You have seen the photographs, watched the documentaries, read the articles, and somewhere in the back of your mind a small but persistent voice is asking whether the reality can genuinely match the legend. Whether all those wildebeest, all those lion prides, all that extraordinary golden savannah stretching to the horizon is truly as breathtaking in person as it looks on a screen. The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that the Serengeti does not just live up to its reputation it quietly exceeds it in ways that no photograph or documentary has ever managed to fully capture, and here is exactly why.
