Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go through customs and immigration. You will be met by a dedicated Gorilla Pathfinders guide who will warmly welcome you to the "land of a thousand hills", as Rwanda is known. Later, drive for dinner and an overnight stay at the pre-booked Hotel des Mille Colline.
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Western province. On your way, visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in the Southern province. This will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of the leadership of their kingship. Enjoy an en-route lunch. You will reach Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon and relax and spend your leisure time with the hotel amenities.
Today, after your early-morning cup of African coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe National Park. It is well known for having 13 species of primates. Transfer to the park for a briefing and the chimpanzee trekking. On finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them.
After the chimpanzee trek, have lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70-meter suspended metallic bridge will give you a great view of the Nyungwe Forest. On a lucky day, you can spot a few more primates in the forest as you take a walk on the bridge. In the afternoon, we return for dinner and an overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel.
After breakfast, you will head to the park for a briefing before you head out to search for the colobus monkeys. On finding them, you will be allowed to take as many pictures as you wish. Return for lunch before check-out. Proceed on the tea plantation visit where you will go to the Gisakura Tea Gardens and learn how tea is planted, up to the harvesting time and processing. You will take beautiful photos. Later, drive to Lake Kivu with great views of the countryside. Relax on arrival and prepare for the night-fishing experience with the local fishermen of the community. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Paradis Malahide Hotel.
After a relaxed breakfast, you will embark on a boat cruise to catch up with the beautiful sunrise over Lake Kivu. The boat ride helps you to explore the beautiful attractions within this great lake. You have a nature walk at one of the islands which are known for harboring thousands of bats. This lake is also known as a birding paradise as it hosts a number of bird species like cormorants, pied kingfishers, weaver birds, and herons, to mention but a few. Later, you will drive to Kigali and transfer to the airport. See you on your next visit.

Every now and then a destination becomes so famous that people start questioning whether it can possibly live up to its own reputation. Serengeti National Park is one of those places. You have seen the photographs, watched the documentaries, read the articles, and somewhere in the back of your mind a small but persistent voice is asking whether the reality can genuinely match the legend. Whether all those wildebeest, all those lion prides, all that extraordinary golden savannah stretching to the horizon is truly as breathtaking in person as it looks on a screen. The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that the Serengeti does not just live up to its reputation it quietly exceeds it in ways that no photograph or documentary has ever managed to fully capture, and here is exactly why.
