You will be met by a Gorilla Pathfinders driver/guide at Kigali International Airport – meet and greet, comment on the safari, then drive and overnight at the 2000 hotel. If you choose this, it will take you to wake up at least at 4 am so that you can be able to catch up with Gorilla's tracking time.
An early morning breakfast is followed by a drive to Nyungwe forest. On the way visit Nyanza King’s Palace, the National Museum of Butare and Nyanza which was the headquarters of the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans. The compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934. It is tastefully decorated with the traditional mats and utensils.
After breakfast, enter Nyungwe forest (06:00) to track the chimpanzee and Canopy walk. Thereafter return to the Hotel for lunch, After you will be Driving near Kivu Lake on your way to Kibuye, this road is around Kivu Lake and it has a good View of Congo side, then Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast at the Hotel, you spend your day at Kivu Beach if you are a birdwatcher this is a great place for this activity, they are located on one Island called Napoleon inside lake Kivu then take back to your hotel spend time relaxing at Kivu Lake then after Lunch you will have a short Kibuye City Tour, back and overnight at the Hotel.
Distance 213 Km per 6 Hrs. driving time – After breakfast, drive to Gisenyi and finally to Kinigi. The drive Kibuye-Gisenyi is via the most beautiful providing spectacular views of the tea growing country of Gisovu and Kayove. Brief stops are provided for photography. A four hours drive takes to Gisenyi for lunch and a brief city tour. There after drive for two hours to Ruhengeri and finally Kinigi the base of gorilla tracking. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast is allowed early morning followed by a drive to Kinigi park headquarters for group, guide allocation and briefing. This is followed by a drive to the trailheads where hiking and trekking up the hills to the bamboo zone begins. Hiking, trekking and tracking gorillas may take 2-4 hours. Sight and stay with the Gorillas for one hour. Descend to your hotel for lunch. Afternoon leisure or on a tour of the area, visit lakes Burera and Ruhondo. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, trek the mountains (Bisoke Volcano Hiking) for another memorable experience with the Volcano. back at your hotel for Lunch then driver to Kigali, have a Kigali city trip including the visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi, contacts with local people for the discovery of artisanal products (Collar, Bracelet, etc…), then transfer towards Kigali airport.
